Team Overview:

The iShares Thematic Distribution team is leading our effort to transform product distribution in a rapidly changing asset management industry. The team focuses on scaled distribution across key suites of ETFs, approaching each suite comprehensively through product lineup, pricing strategy, positioning, distribution partnerships and advertising and digital marketing.

We are hiring a VP to lead distribution strategy and execution for the Industry ETFs suite. With over 17 funds and $20 billion in assets under management, BlackRock is the market leader in this category. This role will set the roadmap and lead execution to build on our current leadership position to significantly expand the distribution of the suite.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact, entrepreneurial role central to our effort to innovate distribution and dramatically increase our reach and scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation: “Think outside the box” to consistently explore and uncover new ways in which the firm’s ETF offerings can be positioned, marketed and distributed. Position new offerings and create opportunities by changing the way institutions, financial advisors and individuals invest with ETFs.

Strategy:Lead oversight of suite offering, competitive positioning, pricing and tactics to capitalize on relevant industry trends and key market opportunities.

Distribution: Expand distribution of Industry funds through scaled strategies, leveraging cutting-edge digital tools and traditional advertising. Develop sales messaging, investment case and support product placement, client adoption in institutional and retail distribution channels globally.

Partnerships: Identify, own and develop distribution, marketing partnerships with distribution platforms, broker-dealers, index providers, chambers of commerce, marketing agencies, leading journalists/periodicals, information providers, etc.

Qualifications:

- Desire to be part of re-engineering the way BlackRock and the industry distribute investments

- 5-10 years of experience in a financial services or strategy role

- Strong commercial market awareness, client acumen and intellectual curiosity

-Superior interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

-Ability to work globally with c-suite leadership, partner with peers and mentor junior talent

-Driven and self-motivated with the ability to own and execute on a range of initiatives at once

-Strategic thinker with excellent written, quantitative and analytical skills

-Bachelor’s degree (MBA or CFA a plus)
