Group Description

The Treasury team is responsible for managing the firm’s capital structure, cash management activities globally and the firm's short and long term financing programs. The group also provides financial oversight on regulatory capital requirements.

Job Description

Key areas of responsibility

  • Managing daily cash, liquidity, cash flow forecasting, funding and local cash requirements of BlackRock entities in the Americas (including U.S.)

  • Managing corporate bank accounts and banking relationships, liaising with banks and other Finance departments to resolve payment-related inquiries

  • Managing investment of cash into separately managed accounts

  • Monitoring FX exposures and execute FX transactions

  • Coordinating intercompany dividend proposals for the Americas

  • Operating the $4 billion commercial paper program, $4b revolving credit facility, and share repurchase program

  • Monitoring and supporting the Treasury Workstation (referential data, debt instruments) in co-ordination with banks and other departments

  • Maintaining and enhancing reporting tools, including reporting database

  • Proactively looking for opportunities to optimize Treasury processes and controls

  • Contributing to ad hoc projects and financial analyses

Skills / experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preference for Accounting / Finance

  • A few years of experience, preferably in the financial services industry, with a track record of strong performance

  • Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and rigor

  • Self-starter, quick learner, team player with collegial orientation and desire to take on responsibility

  • Organized and methodical, ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines

  • Experience with financial markets preferred, but not required

  • Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in written presentations and orally

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with advanced or expert skills in Excel and VBA coding experience preferred, but not required
