The role is for a Vice President/Director level professional to support BlackRock’s President and Investments Platform, serving as a key member of the staff responsible for central coordination of projects across the Corporate Executive team and firm-wide initiatives. The professional will direct and/or support project management implementation and coordination, and market research for the President’s internal and external communications as well as support and drive key projects and initiatives associated with the Investments Platform.
Key responsibilities will include:
•Assist in the development, implementation, and tracking of all projects
•Monitor all C-level initiatives and ensure that all are moving in a timely and effective fashion
•Ensure that accountable individuals are accomplishing their objectives according to deliverables and that results are of highest quality
•Design, develop, and manage cross-functional projects in support of the Investments Platform
•Proactively manage relationship development internally and externally and serve as an ambassador of relationships for the Office of the President
•Draft confidential C-level presentations for the firm’s Board of Directors, Leadership Summits, external and internal conferences/meetings
Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following qualities:
•8 years of experience in asset management or financial services;
•Prior experience initiating large projects and driving them through completion;
•Strong contributor with ability to deliver in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands;
•Intellectually curious with the ability to take initiative and deliver results in a matrixed organization;
•Ability to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise conclusions;
•Proven track record of engagement and leadership on strategic projects at the corporate level;
•Ability to effectively manage projects and influence stakeholders; results oriented and able to “roll-up the sleeves” in order to accomplish necessary tasks;
•Excellent written and oral communication, including facility with PowerPoint;
•Extremely high attention to detail;
•Strong work ethic;
•BS/BA or higher in Economics or Finance or equivalent.
