Business Unit Overview:

The US Retail Request for Proposal (“RFP”) team plays a vital role in the effort to win new business for BlackRock’s US Retail businesses and liaises closely with colleagues across sales groups and portfolio management teams to deliver high quality, consistent and cohesive quantitative and qualitative information to prospective and existing clients.

Job Purpose/Background:

Seeking an energetic professional to work as part of the US Retail RFP team to deliver RFPs/DDQs in Mumbai.

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for providing responses to Due Diligence Questionnaires (“DDQs”) and coordinating the completion of new business Requests for Proposal (“RFPs”) for US retail products including US mutual funds, collective investment trust funds, 40 Act subadvised funds.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to get exposure to different areas of the business and gain a wealth of knowledge about the workings of BlackRock, its position in the market and the products we manage. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who has a strong writing and communication skills and previous experience working in a fast-paced global financial services firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write high quality due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) & new business requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of RFPs including quality oversight / peer reviews.
  • Manage workload to successfully meet assigned deadlines and assist other team members when required.
  • Support and complete various efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts.
  • Proactively communicate potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Post Graduate - MBA (Finance) from reputable institute.
  • CFA / FRM certification will be an added advantage.

Skills:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in investment management/asset management or financial industry
  • Knowledge of financial markets, with familiarity with all asset classes and geographies.
  • In-depth understanding of capital markets instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives).
  • Knowledge of US retail products including mutual funds, collective investment trust funds and 40 act sub-advised funds
  • Collaborative writing, critical reading, and editing skills
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and demonstrated analytical ability
