Position Background:

BlackRock is looking for an analyst to support the US Wealth Advisory Marketing Operations team. The US Wealth Advisory Marketing team assists in growing the US retail business by marketing our products and solutions to Financial Advisors. The Marketing Operations team specifically helps with data management, reporting, and collateral maintenance associated with these marketing activities.

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who has a strong operations background in a fast-paced global financial services firm. Preference will be given to those with past work experience focused on marketing operations. In addition to being resourceful, communicative, and attentive to detail, the candidate should be comfortable with working with large data sets in excel, providing meaningful metrics reporting, and quickly learning new marketing systems related to emails, web postings, and content management. The position is based in Mumbai, India.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large data sets in excel related to campaign metrics and event attendance to identify trends that assist with increasing outreach to Financial Advisors
  • Translate meaningful data findings into concise reports and presentations that will be shared with senior management
  • Use marketing systems and tools related to web site posting/maintenance, collateral and presentation creation, compliance, events, and content management
  • Work with various business partners, such as Web Tools & Technology, Compliance, Events Management, National Accounts, and Product, to complete projects
  • Update marketing materials for client use, such as Investor Guides and Presentations
  • Understand and navigate approval workflows to ensure materials are legal and compliance approved for client distribution

Qualifications and Skills

  • BA or BS required; major in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance or related fields preferred
  • 3 to 5 years related experience in the investment management business , with preference given to those with marketing operations background
  • Strong familiarity with computer applications including Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
  • Familiarity with using Morningstar Direct a strong plus
  • Ability to manage large data sets in excel through pivots and if required, VBA coding and macros
  • Quick learner of new marketing systems and approval workflows
  • Comfort with conversing on the phone and via email in English with various business partners
  • Comfort working with a global team that spans regions and timezones

  • Expected office hours (in local time): 11 AM – 8 PM
