This HR Shared Services Analyst at BlackRock will deliver expert execution of a wide-range of HR support, including, but not limited to, processing and auditing transactions, responding to employee and manager inquiries on HR related policies and procedures, and acting as a partner and liaison to internal HR functions on business led initiatives. The role is aligned within the HR Operations function and contributes to the alignment of global HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively explain company policies, practices, and HR initiatives to managers and employees in an engaging and client focused manner
  • Partner with internal HR teams, e.g., Payroll, Recruiting, to resolve manager and employee questions within defined timelines
  • Review, execute and audit HR transactions relating to worker life cycle or employment job changes (e.g., hires, terminations, mobility transfers, etc.)
  • Contribute to and participate in brainstorming solutions to operational process inefficiencies
  • Balance day to day responsibilities with key project work and professional development opportunities
  • Analyze case data to provide comprehensive summaries of inquiry volumes, trends and nuances
  • Connect with regional peers in Scotland and India to share best practices, ideas and solutions

Desired Experience

  • BA/BS degree
  • 4 years of directly related experience working in an Human Resources function with knowledge of human resources processes
  • Financial Services experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience managing a wide range of HR policies and process


  • Knowledge of Oracle HCM Fusion and Taleo
  • Proficient level on Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
